The Right Care at the Right Time

TLC Caregivers are the backbone of our home care services.  It is important to us that the right people are matched with the right level of care at the right time.  Our Operations Team is made up of Home Care Coordinators and Nurse Case Managers who match our professional caregivers with the right clients.  We understand that our caregivers are in close contact with you and your loved ones which means they must be professionally trained to provide the care but must also match personally with the client.

Our team of “matchmakers” ensure the right caregivers are assigned through the following strategies:

Assess Location

We want to make sure your caregivers are ready and available.  This means checking that assigned caregivers are geographically close enough to offer reliable care.  We have a large pool of caregivers spread out across Vermont and New Hampshire.

Assess Amount of Care Needed

Match caregivers with the right case load so they are not working too little or more than their desired hours.

Match the right skill sets

 When a new caregiver joins TLC, they go through a 5-day orientation course and must demonstrate their skill level through testing and continuing education.  Many of our caregivers go above and beyond the basic level of care skills and earn additional special skills qualifications.  Our nurse educators provide training though our very own TLC Academy.

Do you or your loved one prefer a male or female caretaker?  Someone who knows how to play chess?  Someone who shares your love of literature or taste in movies?  Someone who knows how to cook your all-time favorite dish?

We understand that the right person giving the right care at the right time is a recipe for success.  We have the unique privilege of providing, not just a caretaker, but a companion; someone who is both a professional able to handle your individual needs and also someone you just plain like being around.

Our match guarantee means that we will have open communication and will check-in frequently to make sure you, your loved ones and other family members are happy with our caretakers.  Sometimes it takes time to find the perfect match, but we are up for the challenge.
